I told you it will be a vicious campaign
The Washington Post ran a headline story regarding an alleged incident involving Mitt Romney that occurred while he was in high school 47 years ago. The story claims Romney and some friends held down a gay student and chopped off his hair. Of course, the story is told to the post by someone claiming to have witnessed the incident those many years ago. No proof or evidence is offered, only someone—you think maybe a democrat—offered up the information.
The family of the student identified as the victim refutes the story, claims it is factually incorrect and that the student would be livid if he were alive today to read the story. There is also an accusation that Romney once called out in class, as a closeted gay student finished a presentation, “atta girl!” Once again, no proof or corroboration exists to support the claim, although it is probable that if needed, someone will “step forward”—no doubt of the democratic stripe.
Obama has talked about drug use and other less than admirable activities he indulged in while in high school and college, but of course there is no reporting on that whatsoever.
Who, other than a democratic hit team, could have unearthed someone to bear sole witness to the alleged event 47 years ago, with a conveniently dead victim, who is unavailable to verify the story?
And now, a report surfaces and is treated like the straight scoop from heaven that Romney made the “atta girl” comment in class those many years ago. Most incredible of all is that the Washington Post would print this on the front page. No wonder and deservedly so; newspapers are going the way of the dodo bird. I don’t believe they will have the same audience on the Internet.
